Faculty Recruitment – Assistant / Associate / Full Professors (Open Rank)
Computational Precision Health, UC Berkeley, UCSF

UCSF UC Berkeley Joint Program in Computational Precision Health seeks applicants for an open-rank tenured or tenure track FTE (“hard money”) position. Successful candidates will have a strong track record of applying computational and data sciences to health and are expected to develop a nationally recognized research program. They will collaborate across disciplines to develop research initiatives in the realm of computational precision health and will be expected to conduct teaching and research at both campuses in the true spirit of the joint program.

We seek rising leaders from diverse fields with active research at the intersection of the computational sciences and the health sciences, broadly defined to include aspects of mental and physical health; population and public health; public policy and economics; and equity and fairness.

The specific areas of interest within computational precision health are not restricted, and may include expertise in:

  • big data analytics
  • clinical decision support
  • electronic health records
  • health informatics and clinical research informatics
  • interoperability
  • algorithms
  • machine learning
  • digital health
  • networking
  • wearable devices
  • privacy, and related areas

While the areas of the search are broad, we are particularly interested in clinician scientists (DDS, DNP, MD, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent) MD/DO, nursing, pharmacy, or other clinical profession) who intend to continue clinical practice at 10-20% effort in addition to research at the intersection of computation and health.
